Willbe. Menopause Testing

We believe perimenopause is the gateway to your greatest health yet

Welcome to your midlife refuel!

Depending on a persons lifespan, women can spend up to 50% of their lives in and around menopause (when you include Perimenopause and Post-menopause).  This phase is characterised by the fall and reduction in crucial hormones.

While this is a natural stage of every woman’s life, it brings with it a multitude of questions and challenges.

With over 60 officially recognised symptoms related to perimenopause and menopause, the drop in hormone levels can significantly impact a woman’s overall health if not properly managed and unfortunately for us, it is the time after menopause when chronic diseases can take hold.

Taking charge of your health now, as your hormones are starting to change, minimises the risks of chronic disease later.

Symptoms are common but they should not be accepted as normal.

Every symptom has an underlying cause.

Our mission: personalised and preventative healthcare for optimal living and longevity - beyond perimenopause

At Willbe, our approach is grounded in cutting-edge, evidence-based science prioritising human bio-individuality.

Every woman is unique.

Hormone levels and their rates of decline vary from woman to woman, as does how each body manages and eliminates excess hormones.  These differences mean there is no one-size-fits-all solution for hormonal health.  We consider genetic factors, current hormone levels, and how your body creates, uses and processes these hormones when creating a personalised hormonal health optimisation plan.

Our commitment to excellence

We are dedicated experts in perimenopause and menopause healthcare, offering tailored programmes designed to help women navigate these phases effectively.

Our comprehensive approach supports women in managing perimenopause and menopause symptoms, whether through natural methods or bioidentical hormone therapy.

By providing personalised care and leveraging the latest scientific research, we empower women to regain control over their hormonal health and enhance their overall well-being.

What hormones are you testing?

Here at Willbe we use a minimum of 3 tests to establish how your body creates, utlises and clears hormones.

We also take 2 measures for each of you sex hormones to ensure what we see in the blood markers correlates to what is being excreated.  You’d be suprised how many times those 2 numbers can conflict.  If thats the case – we need to know!

As standard we test:  DHEA, Estrogen, Progesterone, Testosterone and SHBG and we also check Cortisol, Thyroid (both T3 & T4), Adrenal and Melatonin.

In total we analyse over 60 pages worth of data in relation to your hormones, whilst also looking at things like B12 and B6 markers (which have a lot to do with energy levels), Glutathione markers (which relate to how well you body detoxes) and we’re also looking at things like Dopamine, Seratonin (your happy hormones) plus your Oxidative stress which impacts how quikly you age to name just a few.

All of there are super important in establishing your true hormonal health and essential to us creating a plan for you that creates balance.

Our indepth testing is what allows us to create such bespoke plans which in turn is the reason why on average our clients report eradication of symptoms in 90 days or less*

Our programs are designed by functional medicine experts and biohackers in women’s health.

All of our programs seek to address your unique symptoms and goals, combining the latest in health optimisation and longevity research with personalised support.

We are not here to mask or treat symptoms.  We want your health to improve for years after your time with us.  We pride ourselves on being educators and guides into what makes you unique.  No two programs are the same!

Of course. Our practitioners, health coaches, and testing programs are fully personalised and tailored to accommodate and support your health needs.

We always take a full case history at the start of any program and clearly certain treatment plans will require further consideration but our testing and coaching programs are a great start for anyone wishing to improve their health and for us ladies healthy and happy hormones are the ultimate biohack!

Please feel free to book a call with one of our team should you have any question before purchasing.

When you join Willbe you are joining a team of people who care deeply about each client. We do not use AI or Apps to interact with you or your data.  Every piece of information we provide is based on what makes you unique and your results.

This includes one-on-one consultations, customised health plans crafted by our team of experts, and ongoing guidance to ensure your journey is successful and enjoyable.

Our genetic test can be taken on anyday but your blood and urine tests do need to be taken on or between Day 19-22 of your cycle (with Day 1 being the first day of your period).

We strongly recommend ordering your test kits at least 10 days prior to your testing date so you can ensure you are familiar with what is required and to allow time for any fasting or food changes that may be required.

Normally overnight fasting is enough there are instances where your diet, forms of contraception, supplementation or being on other hormone replacement therapies may need more consideration or preparation on your part.

No problem, we’ve got you covered.

  • For those women who have not had a cycle for more that 12 months – you can test at anytime.
  • For those women whose periods are irregular we recommend you purchase an ovulation kit to fully establish where you are before testing.  For a small additional fee our team can provide you with an ovulation kit which will show you when the best time is to test or we can provide a recommendation.

Please contact our team for further information or call us to purchase alongside your kit.  We want to ensure that you get the most from this experience and from your results.

Sure!  All we’d ask is that you state that on your test kit forms.  We will need to know the exact type, brand and details on your dosage.

Please contact your existing health practitioner if you are unsure of that information.

Yes.  All we’d ask is that you state that on your test kit forms and observe the testing instructions.  You may be asked to complete a 48 hrs break period before you test (as an example).  We will also need to know the exact type, make and your dosage.

Please contact your existing health practioner if you are unsure of that information.

We currently ship free of charge to the UK, Europe & Dubai.  Shipping costs will vary in other regions.  Please contact us before purchasing:  [email protected]

Our coaching sessions, offered to clients in advance of their 121 consultations, are delivered virtually in a live setting.  Groups normally contain 5-10 women at any one time.

Here you will learn all the basics for health during this phase of your hormonal journey and gain the keys to unlocking an optimised health long term.

Delivering our sessions in advance of your consultation also ensures you are more equipped to understand the reporting which we will take you through before your session.

This maximises the time spent with your practitioner in your 121 consultation as opposed to paying for session time to discuss the basics, list symptoms or simply talk about your case history.  We want you to become an expert in your own health.

Test results can take up to 21 days to be received from our lab and our team will need approximately 7 days to analyse the data which consists of more than 60 pages of detail.

We’ll also be crossreferencing everything with your intake form and food diary to ensure we take a full holistic view of your results and biological needs.

Therefore we always ask that you allow a minimum of 28 days from collection of your test kit to your session with our team.

We offer 3 free group health coaching sessions during that time so you can start to learn about health optimisation long term and so you are equipped with all the knowledge you need relating to what we test and why we test before your session.

We promise you – it’s worth the investment in time!

Perimenopause signals the journey toward menopause, characterized by shifts in menstrual cycles, hormonal changes, and a range of physical and emotional symptoms. If you’re noticing irregular periods, mood swings, sleep disruptions, brain fog, unexplained weight gain, or finding it challenging to manage daily life, you may be entering perimenopause. It’s crucial not to dismiss these signs, especially for women in their early 40s.

While symptoms indicate change, they provide little guidance on the best course of action. Emerging evidence suggests that women who prioritize restoring true hormonal balance, rather than merely managing symptoms, experience the most favorable outcomes for longevity and overall health.

As well as diet and lifestyle there are several advanced treatment options including Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT).  In fact , a notable study from the University of Arizona found that personalized hormone replacement therapy led to a remarkable 79% decrease in Alzheimer’s incidence among women (source:  Researchers Take a Step Toward Advancing Precision Hormone Therapies to Reduce Alzheimer’s Risk | The University of Arizona Health Sciences).

To explore your options, we strongly advocate for advanced testing before embarking on any treatment program. Our advanced testing is meticulously crafted with your long-term health in mind, offering the opportunity to transform this phase of life into your greatest health opportunity.  And we provide access to a number of treatment options including Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) for those women who wish to explore it’s long list of benefits beyond menopause care.

There is no test for menopause, and this is true. However, there are several tests that can help women understand what is happening to their hormones and pinpoint the best course of action for them. We’d argue that not getting your hormones checked at this time is a significant reason why so many women struggle to find long-term solutions.

Advanced testing provides deeper insights into your hormonal levels, nutrient deficiencies, and overall health status, enabling us to tailor a health optimization plan specifically for you. This often results in the alleviation of symptoms and an increase in long-term health for women who face the challenge of balancing their hormones. In many instances, natural hormones, not synthetic versions, are used to replace hormones, as synthetic versions do not match the molecule size of the body and can cause further problems down the line.

Understanding the intricacies of how your body creates, processes, and clears hormones, as well as the levels required for optimal health, allows for targeted interventions that enhance your well-being during perimenopause and beyond. With the right care and support, perimenopause can be a significant health opportunity for women.

At Willbe, our health coaches are not just advisors but your dedicated partners in guiding you through the complexities of perimenopause. With their expertise and compassion, they offer personalized guidance tailored to your unique needs and concerns – with every recommendation based on your body’s own uniqueness.

Drawing from advanced testing insights, they delve deep into understanding your hormonal levels, nutrient status, and overall health profile. This allows them to develop a comprehensive health optimization plan specifically crafted for you, addressing not just symptoms but also underlying imbalances.  They can also walk yu through all of your treatment options so you are empowered to make the right choices moving forward and so you can work towards improving your health span and longevity.

Our coaches provide invaluable support and accountability as you implement changes in nutrition, exercise, stress management, and lifestyle adjustments. They empower you to make informed decisions about your health, ensuring that you feel confident and empowered throughout your perimenopause journey.

By working closely with our health coaches, you gain a deeper understanding of how your body creates, processes, and clears hormones. This knowledge enables you to make targeted interventions that enhance your well-being not only during perimenopause but also far beyond. Together, we transform perimenopause into an opportunity for improved health and vitality.

Tele-medicine brings expert care directly to you, offering convenience, privacy, and access to specialists crae. Through virtual consultations and WhatsApp messaging you can discuss symptoms, receive advice, and adjust your treatment plan from the comfort of your home sfae in the knowledge that you are speaking to a real peron not a bot!

Diet and lifestyle play crucial roles in managing perimenopause symptoms.  However, we go far beyond general recommendations.  With decreases in the nutrients within our food, increases in stress, changing working pattern and the fact that we now live longer there is a definite case for leaning into the latest science and research also – including advances in genetic research.

As an exmaple; there are many genetic mutations which up to 40% of the world population have but aren’t even aware of.  One such marker means up to 40% of individuals have a hard time processing B6 (which is important for a number of metabolic fucntions including the production of neurotransmitters, like serotonin, that can help regulate mood and even aid sleep).

Whilst B6 is easy to supplement (if required), that genetic mutation can also be responsible for elevated levels of Homocystine in the blood.  This can put individuals at a higher risk of thngs like cardiovascular disease, blood clots, PCOS and osteoperosis, as well as a number of other health complications.

Addressing such genetic factors requires more than simple supplementation; it demands practical steps to modulate gene expression, reducing associated risk factors with expert guidance. While diet and lifestyle changes are significant, understanding which changes are truly necessary is paramount. Our testing and health recommendations empower you to elevate your health to a whole new level for life.
